Job Description Job Description Description: Job Purpose: The Concrete Production Manager is responsible for daily workflow management of concrete mixer drivers and dispatch for multiple locations. Responsible for schedule prioritization, safety compliance, and quality control of concrete operations. Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Coordinate dispatch operations including planning the number of trucks needed, scheduling mixer drivers. (and material truck drivers). 2. Responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of ready mixed concrete, plant operations and maintenance, safety at plants and general condition of ready-mix trucks. Works with maintenance shop to schedule truck maintenance. 3. Run plant operations that meet company goals with respect to plant and mixer efficiency standards. 4. Work with Batch Plant Operator and Dispatch to maintain quality, optimization, and customer service. 5. Provide leadership for all personnel and instill a team approach that is efficient and economical to the company. 6. Makes sure parts are labeled, recorded, and stored in a proper place for convenient and accurate use. 7. Establish and conduct training for all personnel to include OSHA, FMSCA, customer service. 8. Performs quality control checks and solves daily problems for supervisors and quality control. 9. Meets with vendors, schedule machinery repairs, maintains inventory counts, escalates concerns to leadership, and assists in providing safety training. 10. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures tools, materials, and equipment at end of day. 11. Performs additional duties as needed. Forklift experience and have good problem solving and organization skills along with the ability to read a tape measure. Valid Drivers license is required. 3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to customers, coworkers, and management. 5. Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, procedure manuals and job instructions and possess basic problem-solving skills. 6. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages. 7. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 8. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and multi-task effectively. 9. Ability to operate computer and computer software, including Microsoft Office products. 10. Ability to use department equipment. 11. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
