We are looking for an Assistant Controller to support the accounting and financial operations of the company including reporting, budgeting, planning, and other accounting and financial matters. This position is located in our offices in Wichita, Kansas and is not open to remote work. Duties/Responsibilities: Coordinates the company's accounting, reporting planning and budgeting activities Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Coordinates the preparation of periodic financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets Ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or other prescribed financial reporting standards Reviews financial details from past, present, and forecasted operations; identifies opportunities and improvements that can be made Coordinates with management regarding short- and long-term accounting objectives and policies Advises business units on and assists with implementation of accounting and budgeting policies Collaborates with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual and periodic audits Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards Improve processes and document accounting department procedures Provide support for internal audit with publicly traded capital partner Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent and highly accurate math and accounting skills Strong supervisory and leadership skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and specialized accounting software used by the organization Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required; Master's degree preferred Five years or more of related experience required Audit experience with public companies CPA designation To learn more about pay and benefits, apply today!
