Together, we won't stop!Job Overview The Sr. Payroll Specialist is a key member of the Payroll Operations Team of T-Mobile's HR Operations, who ensures the accurate and timely payment of T-Mobile's employees. The Sr. Payroll Specialist supports T-Mobile employees by making timekeeping easy and ensuring that their pay and time records are correct for proper payment and taxation. The Sr. Payroll Specialist also performs a variety of technical and clerical support duties to support payroll, such as inputting data, auditing records, generating and distributing correction requests, researching and resolving issues, maintaining documentation, and improving processes. The Sr. Payroll Specialist works in a biweekly, multi-state payroll environment and collaborates with other team members and stakeholders.Job Responsibilities: - Run actionable time reports to track employee hours and identify any discrepancies.
- Audit time files for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and send communications to employees and managers regarding timekeeping processes.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth timekeeping operations.
- Provide subject matter expertise at both the employee and manager levels.
- Assist with resolving timekeeping record issues and correcting entries.
- Run reports on employee timekeeping records for auditing purposes.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of employee time and pay records.
- Support the Payroll Production Team by:
- Providing complete time files for payroll production.
- Assisting with additional correcting entries for payroll.
- Represent the team in various timekeeping projects and meetings.
- Assist with system testing related to timekeeping processes.
- Provide timely support for employee inquiries and ticket resolution related to timekeeping.Education:
- Associate's Degree (Preferred)Work Experience:
- Requires a minimum of 2+ years of related experience working with multi-state payroll, preferably in a large, multi-state organization. (Preferred)
- A working knowledge of: Payroll systems, Timekeeping systems, Payroll tax laws (Preferred) and Payroll best practices.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
