Join the team that tests the software and handles the availability of the test environments for T-Mobile's target-state digital commerce and billing platforms. This is an innovative hybrid-cloud and multi-vendor application ecosystem operating at internet scale. The Sr Software Engineer will work with a cross-functional team of other software engineers, network and systems engineers to develop, integrate and deliver software which meet customer's requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. The Sr Engineer actively participates in architecture and design of various software components focused on crafting applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, micro services, SDN, NFV and Big Data platforms and technologies. They work on technical assignments that are moderately difficult, sophisticated, requiring technical expertise in Java, code repositories and CI/CD tools like Gitlab, microservice frameworks like Spring Boot, distributed event-streaming platforms like Kafka and experience developing and testing cloud-native applications on platform like AWS, Google, and Azure. This position requires good judgment and diplomatic skill to drive resolution of issues in a complex, multi-vendor software delivery environment. They will work as part of large, multi-functional teams with little supervision or direction, understanding the implications of work in their domain and recommending solutions to both technical staff and upper management.

Based on reviews build user stories and manage backlog for assigned platforms. Work with other software engineers, DevOps team and testers to ensure development, unit, component, integration and other phases of testing start and proceed according to plan. Work with defect management team to prioritize and triage issues and take a lead role in driving to resolution across development teams, report status and communicate needs up through chain of command to senior leadership when appropriate. See opportunities for improvement. Develop metrics to track progress toward target state goals. Implement vital monitoring and alarming to capture metric data. Technical Engineering Services

  • Drives engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations. Encouraged to supervise base and associate level engineers as needed.
  • Understands system protocols, how systems operate and data flows. Aware of current technology benefits. Expected to independently develop a full software stack. Understands the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work. Independent study of current technology is expected. Interact with system engineers to define system requirement and/or necessary requirements for automation.Innovation

    • Review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more effectively through industry perspectives.

            • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Engineering (Required)Work Experience:
              • 4-7 years Technical engineering experience. (Required)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
