ANNUAL SALARY - DISPATCHER I $48,589 - $65,595 ANNUAL SALARY - DISPATCHER II $57,724 - $77,927 (Requires 8+ years relevant experience within City of Prairie Village employment.) Responsible for assisting police officers in effectively protecting lives and property of Prairie Village and Mission Hills residents. As such, provides a communication link between public, other agencies and police. Work involves performing duties with high degree of independence and proper judgment. Responsibilities and Primary Duties/Functions: - Receive all incoming police and 911 telephone calls; dispatch emergency services to location; provide radio services as required.
- Record data in CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) system.
- Complete various computer checks requested by officers and relay response information to requesting officer.
- Maintain appropriate records and logs.
- Enter, modify and remove warrants and wants in law enforcement computer system.
- Monitor station alarms.
- Utilize and maintain recording equipment. Minimum Qualifications:
