Discover rewarding pediatric RN opportunities in North Iowa—apply now to join our healthcare team!/n /n/nPediatric RN Job Details/n /n - Location: Mason City, Iowa (50401) – North Iowa healthcare jobs/n - Facility Setting: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), with floating to Birth Center as needed/n - Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 11/23/2025 – End: 2/21/2026)/n - Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Schedule: Every third weekend and holiday rotation (including Christmas)/n - Employment Type: Travel/Contract Registered Nurse job/n - On-Site Position/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860 - $1910/n /n/nPediatric Registered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Active RN license with pediatric nursing specialization (Iowa or compact state preferred)/n - Minimum 1 year of recent pediatric RN experience (PICU or acute care preferred)/n - Ability to float between Pediatric ICU and Birth Center as needed/n - Current BLS certification (additional certifications such as PALS may be required)/n - Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills/n - Compliance with all onboarding health and competency requirements (immunizations, background check, etc.)/n /n/nPediatric RN Responsibilities/n /n - Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU and Birth Center/n - Assess and evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and educational needs in a clinical setting/n - Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team/n - Accurately document patient and family responses, interventions, and outcomes/n - Supervise and guide LPNs and Nurse Assistants in patient care activities/n - Educate pediatric patients and families, identifying learning needs and delivering appropriate teaching/n - Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled/n - Maintain professional nursing standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures/n /n/n /n Experience the welcoming community and vibrant lifestyle of Mason City, Iowa, while making a difference as a Pediatric RN.
