Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Block Schedule DAYS Friday-Sunday - Ready to hire immediately for a 13 week assignment - Friday/Saturday/Sunday Schedule - 12 hour shifts 0600-1830 ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - Patient/RN ratio of 6-7:1 with a team effort including nursing techs, wound nurse, supervisor, and RTs - Come be part of a wonderful team at the University of Iowa Rehabilitation Hospital in Iowa City - We are growing and need a weekend day nurses to help care for our patients on Fri/Sat/Sun - We have a wide range of patients from stroke to multi-trauma, neuro, traumatic brain injury, burns, dialysis, new amputees, post-Covid, transplants and more - Our average length of stay for our patients is 11-14 days so you really get to know your patients and connect while we work to get them home and back to functional level after a life-altering event - We have a strong focus on teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration which has led to consistently high patient satisfaction scores - Free, onsite parking just a few feet away from the front door who wouldn t love that? - Onsite cafeteria with AMAZING food our dietary staff are the best! - Fun, engaging, and welcoming environment with the best employees around! - Iowa City is a great place to be with the University of Iowa just around the corner city night life, great restaurants for every occasion and food preference, arts, culture, theater, and of course sports! - In addition, there are nature trails, hiking, skiing, lakes, boating and other sites just a short drive away!
