Vienna, WV | Full-Time | Exempt Jones & Company CPAs is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Tax Services team in Vienna, West Virginia. What You’ll Do: In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse client base while working alongside a supportive and experienced team. Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and non-profit entities Perform accounting, bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation and review Conduct audits, reviews, and compilations, as applicable Research and interpret tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory guidance Identify tax planning opportunities and proactively manage client risk Advise clients on financial reporting, compliance, and business decisions Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, professional service Supervise and mentor junior staff, as appropriate Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and firm policies Contribute to process improvements and efficient workflows What We’re Looking For: Active CPA license (required) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred) 5 years of public accounting experience Strong working knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and accounting principles Experience with tax and accounting software such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, GoSystem, BNA , or similar platforms Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and professionalism Nice to Have: Public accounting firm background Audit and assurance experience Client advisory or consulting exposure Leadership or staff mentoring experience Compensation & Benefits: Jones & Company CPAs offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal well-being: Health insurance with employer premium contribution Dental and vision insurance (employee-paid) Company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability 401(k) eligibility after 90 days of employment (January and July entry dates) Paid Time Off (PTO) Seven paid holidays per year Optional voluntary benefits, including accident, critical illness, cancer insurance, and telemedicine Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential support Why Jones & Company CPAs?
