Job Title: Surgical Technician Profession: Surgical Technician Specialty: Surgical Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: BLS Certifications: Must-Have: Additional call hours required. Description: Delivers care to patients intra-operatively, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assists in operations under the supervision of physicians, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel. Responsible for creating and maintaining the sterile field. Prepares the operating room by collecting needed supplies and equipment. Passes instruments and other supplies to surgeons. Functions within the sterile field. Provides high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in various specialties including ENT, General, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology, and Endoscopy procedures.
