Job Description:Supplemental Health Care is seeking Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurses in Iowa City, Iowa for a 13-week assignment at a partnering Federal Government Hospital. Successfully complete the unit-specific orientation and competency skills checklist within the first 3 shifts. Maintain competency verification programs in accordance with unit, WRNMMC, and TJC guidelines.Knowledge of telemetry system/ECG monitoring and ability to place ECG electrodes, observe, gather, initiate, compile, and record telemetry data to interpret EKG rhythm. Communicate cardiac rhythm changes and information on monitored patients with physician and interdisciplinary teamObtain, analyze, and post rhythm strips on admission in patient records per unit protocol or as ordered by physician. Successfully interpret rhythm strips to include rate (atrial and ventricular), rhythm, PR interval, QRS interval, QT interval, ectopic beats, and ST segment changes and report abnormalities to provider*Estimated weekly payment may include both taxable wages and tax-free reimbursements for meals, housing, and incidentals.
