Job Description Reporting directly to the Director of the Planning Center of Excellence within the Animal Health Global Supply Chain Management, you partner with a matrix of representatives from Global Supply Change Management, Site Planning, Quality, Finance and other departments to effectively manage the design, development, installation and continuous improvement of a sustainable Supply Planning process for our Animal Health organization. This position in particular focuses on Mid-Term Planning, and Capacity and Scenario Planning. You are the Global Process Expert (GPE) for the supply planning process. You will own the process, the tool, roles and responsibilities, and the related performance metrics. Furthermore you, represent global supply planning in our community of practice to sustain the solution and identify, prioritize and roll-out improvements to the process and the tools. You coordinate with other global process experts across the interdependent IBP process steps to create the linkages between forums for improved information flow. Also, with the Global Supply Change Management (GSCM) Regional Operations team, using the performance metrics, you point out improvement opportunities. You own your piece of the supply planning roadmap and prioritization of backlog items based on value realization. You connect with your partners in the GSCM Regional Operations team as well as site planners and IT Business partners to drive continuous value through the solution. You lead business readiness and execution of defined deployment plans to ensure resource alignment, communicate status, and escalate issues. You don -t hesitate to lead projects yourself and to role model flawless execution of projects. Change management is a crucial factor in that work. Tasks include, but are not limited to - Develop, prototype, test and implement Supply Planning solutions to increase stability, usability and functionality to enable end users to meet business objectives.
- Ensure standard work (process, roles, responsibilities, tools) exists and training and documentation (day-in-life-of-a-planner) are up to date.
- Train and transfer knowledge to other team members, users and stakeholders as required
- Monitor performance against standard work leveraging process adherence metrics and ensure sites continue working in line with the standard.
- Establish the governance and sponsorship for the long-term sustainment and continuous process improvements across the manufacturing sites.
- Lead and support - working with the various site representatives and GSCM regional operations leads - the identification and realization of improvement opportunities, in order to improve overall supply.
- Manage the relationship between functional and technical resources, ensure performance process testing and support 'Go-Live' and 'Post Go-Live' implementation activities.
- Ensure a level of execution excellence which will be evaluated through a formal process, and drive an increase in planning maturity, consistency and efficiency across Animal Health sites.
