We are looking to hire a Sonographer.As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will be Under limited supervision, performs Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records; provides general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies; provides technical instruction to students and hospital staff. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, Values, Actions, and Promise in behaviors, practices, and decisions.Schedule: - Days/Nights; FT; 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM two nights a week and 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM one day a week and help cover every 6th weekendGeneral Requirements:
- Performs quality ultrasound procedures by utilizing proper positioning skills and technical factors, as well as a knowledge of anatomical structures pertinent to the patient population of infants to geriatrics.
- Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
- Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
- Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
- Educates patients of exams being performed and obtains consent to perform procedures when necessary.Education:
