Quad Waukee is looking for a Prepress Assistant. The purpose of this job is to image, punch and bend offset plates for the press and help maintain platemaking equipment.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Ability to maintain and operate plate-making equipment.
  
• Troubleshooting equipment and process.
  
• Ability to learn workflows and procedures for the assigned area. -
  
• Checking product for quality.
  
• Work schedules necessary to meet the production needs of our customers.
  
• Basic working knowledge of computers
  
• Ability to learn Press Layout configurations -
  
• Communicating information between shifts. -
  
  Qualifications
  
  
  
  • High School diploma preferred
    
  • Previous pre-press experience preferred but not required
    
  • Moderate knowledge of PC operating systems. Experience with Kodak Prinergy is a plus
    
  • Strong communication skills -
    
  • Ability to work with colleagues of diverse backgrounds.
    
  • Willingness to work overtime as required, as well as weekends.
    
    Physical Demands
    - - - - - - - - - - - This position is moderately physically demanding. - The employee is at times standing while performing the duties of the position. - Walking, bending, stooping, twisting and turning on a daily basis. - Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. -
