Job Description Pride Health is hiring a Permanent Medical Laboratory Director to support our client’s medical facility based in Angola, IN . Medical Laboratory Director Location: Angola, IN Position Type: Permanent Placement Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shifts Salary: 110k/Annum to 120K/Annum Position Summary Pride Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Laboratory Director to oversee the overall administrative, operational, and technical management of the clinical laboratory. The Laboratory Director ensures compliance with all CLIA regulatory requirements, maintains high-quality laboratory testing standards, and leads continuous improvement initiatives across the department. This leadership role oversees approximately 20–25 FTEs across all shifts and plays a critical role in maintaining excellence in patient care and laboratory services. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and management of laboratory operations Ensure full compliance with CLIA ’88 and all applicable regulatory standards Maintain high-quality laboratory testing and quality assurance programs Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives Ensure proper implementation and utilization of laboratory systems and instrumentation Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical teams Required Qualifications Education (One of the following): Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of laboratory training or experience in high-complexity testing specialties OR Master’s degree and 2 years of laboratory training or experience in high-complexity testing specialties OR Licensed MD/DO/DPM or PhD certified in clinical pathology OR 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high-complexity testing specialties Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory At least 3 years of microbiology and blood bank experience required Must meet CLIA ’88 requirements as a supervisor Certifications: Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent Diplomate of Laboratory Management (preferred) Certification through ASCP, AMT, NCA, or equivalent accrediting agency Instrumentation & Technology Chemistry: Roche cobas pure integrated chemistry/immunoassay platform Hematology: Sysmex hematology analyzers Coagulation: Siemens coagulation system Molecular/Rapid Testing: Cepheid GeneXpert Urinalysis: Clinitek automated urinalysis system Blood Bank: Gel card-based testing Pride Global offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
