This role is pivotal in maintaining Saab's reputation for high-quality aerospace products by addressing and resolving engineering issues that arise during the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, ensuring that all aerospace products meet stringent safety and quality standards. Analyze and interpret engineering designs and documentation to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies. Lead the Material Review Board (MRB) processes to assess nonconformities in materials, components, or assemblies, developing technically sound solutions while adhering to regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, quality assurance, and production to ensure effective communication and implementation of solutions. Document all investigative activities and decisions related to changes or fixes in compliance with industry standards and company procedures. Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, contributing to the development of professional talent within the company. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to maintain effectiveness and compliance in all engineering solutions. Strong knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, especially in manufacturing and product integrity. Proficient in CAD software and engineering design tools. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical details and influencing others. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma techniques preferable. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
