Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute Care position with telemetry experience at a small community hospital in Bluffton, IN, working nights on a 13-week travel contract. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Acute care medical-surgical unit with telemetry, progressive care, and swing bed capabilities in a small community hospital setting - Facility has 40 licensed beds (including 10 swing beds) with 20 beds in the unit and an average daily census of 10 - Patient ratios are 1:6 for acute care and 1:10 for swing beds - Night shift hours: 1900–0730 - Every 4th weekend required; no on-call requirements - Floating to other units is not required - Blocked scheduling is available - Cerner EMR (preferred) - 13-week contract - Provides acute care nursing with telemetry monitoring in a swing bed-capable unit - RTO is limited to up to 48 hours for a 13-week commitment, and RTO requests must be less than one week in duration - Every other holiday coverage is required - Navy blue scrubs required - Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position /n /n Requirements/n - Active IN RN license or compact license currently in hand - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date - PALS certification preferred - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required; 3 years preferred - Proficiency in IV starts, nursing assessments, and telemetry monitoring required - ICU drip experience preferred - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted - Valid driver's license required - US Social Security Number required - No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-677064.
