Job Title: Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: M-F Hours per Shift: 8am-5pm Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, RDMS Must-Have: Certifications Required Description: The position involves performing diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology. Candidates will be expected to image patients and assist radiologists during procedures. The role includes providing contrast injections and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The department conducts various types of imaging studies. Average numbers of scans per day will depend on the modality. Experience with EMR and PACS systems is required. Department-specific equipment includes Siemens, GE, Canon, and CareStream. A Radiology Supervisor or Lead Technician will be available for guidance. There is no requirement to start IVs for this position. Candidates may be placed on call with a response time of 45 minutes. Appropriate scrubs other than navy blue are required for the role.
