We know that diverse perspectives and experiences make us stronger, and we want you to be part of our journey. -The -Service Technician -III will be a key contributor to ensuring the quality of our rental fleet is maintained throughout its rental lifespan. Working together with our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and service work on a range of vehicles in our customized rental fleet. COMPENSATION This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards, consisting of an hourly base pay plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment. - LOCATION 9138 Bluffton Rd, Fort Wayne, IN, 46809 - HOURS Monday - Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM EST RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform repair, maintenance, and service work on rental fleet vehicles.
- Properly utilize OE diagnostic equipment
- Complete repair and maintenance tasks within set deadlines
- Understand recall and warranty information from OEMs.
- Utilize and read service manuals.
- Verify all repair and maintenance items are properly installed and complete workshop orders accurately.
- Aid team members in diagnostics and repairs
- Request your own parts and work with the parts team to ensure accuracy
- Understand PTR return, check-in, and QC inspection processes.
- Execute all quality and safety standards regarding repair and maintenance procedures.
- Perform electronic vehicle check-ins to capture all billable damages.
- Prioritize safety, quality, and customer service.
- Escalate judgment calls to the service lead.
- Work with team members and department manager to improve repair and maintenance processes.
- Ensure work area stays safe and clean
- 5S (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain): Implement and uphold 5S principles within the workspace to improve efficiency and organization.
REQUIREMENTS MUST HAVE - 2-5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical automotive, heavy truck or heavy equipment experience
- Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed. -
- Must provide your own toolset capable of general automotive repair and diagnostics
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work both inside the shop environment and outdoors.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Basic written communication skills and proficiency in using a tablet.
