• Tuition reimbursement Overview: FGF Brands is growing and we need more talented Mechanics to join our growing team! As a team member, the Manufacturing Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs high-volume food manufacturing equipment. They prioritize personnel and food safety at all times.
  • Starting Wage = $34.75/hour + performance raises + $1/hour shift differential for hours worked between 6:00pm and 6:00am. Location: Brownsburg, IN Schedules Available:
    • Nights 6:00pm-6:00am; % built in overtime (48 hour weeks)
    • Days 6:00am-6:00pm; % built in overtime (48 hour weeks) Responsibilities
      • Respond and react to mechanical issues in the production environment in a timely and efficient manner.
      • Complete maintenance projects - PM tasks and work orders as assigned.
      • Read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
      • Write parts requests, complete work orders, and write corrective work orders
      • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
      • Keep a clean work area
      • Perform building inspections and routines
      • Communicate with other team members
      • Perform Lock-Out-Tag-Out when necessary Requirements
        • Minimum 4 years work experience in a maintenance mechanic environment.
        • Must have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
        • Must have a basic understanding of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and photoeyes / sensors, etc.
        • Knowledge of conveyance a strong plus.
        • Must be computer literate.
        • Familiarity with CMMS work order systems
        • Food manufacturing background a plus with an understanding of FDA requirements
        • Must have good attention to detail. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
        • Should be able to understand blueprints and drawings
        • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
        • Must be able to work at heights from ladders or scissor lifts
        • Must be able to make decisions
        • Should have a working knowledge of the following:
        • Welding, Machining, Plumbing, Pipefitting, Electricity
        • Must be able to work around very strong magnets
