As a Quality Engineer, you'll be an integral member of the Indianapolis Quality Team and work alongside quality engineers, operations leaders and quality control staff to assure product and process quality. Job Description: - Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process-related concerns;
- New Product Development, PPAP, and supplier audits
- Use data and statistical methods to validate corrective actions and improvements
- Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system
- Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system such as using statistical methods including Six Sigma, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping
- Develop training materials in coordination with Quality Manager to build quality awareness
- Interface with engineering and operations to ensure new products are developed and manufactured in accordance with approved data
- Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
- Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions
- Continuously improve quality assurance receiving inspection process and procedures
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions
- Manage suppliers' performance and conduct audits
- Prepare quality assurance reports
Required Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree
- 2+ years experience in quality engineering
- 2+ years of experience ISO9000
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time (domestic and international)
