Job Overview As a Sr Manager, Government, you will lead a team of frontline Account Executives to create and execute sales strategies for Local Government customers. Leveraging your government industry experience, you will focus on driving new sales, customer retention, channel metrics, and delivering world-class customer solutions. You will motivate and coach your team to achieve strong performance results and serve as a key resource in driving strategy and execution within the Local Government sales vertical. This role requires a strategic and results-oriented approach to meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders will be crucial to your success. Job Responsibilities: - Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sales generation strategies to support Local Government sales. This includes identifying potential market opportunities, creating targeted sales plans, and setting clear objectives to drive revenue growth. You will analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to tailor your approach and ensure alignment with T-Mobile's core values.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to identify retention opportunities and ensure the maintenance of the existing customer base.
- Team Management: Hire, coach, and mentor a team of Account Executives to meet productivity goals and help close deals. Provide ongoing training, performance evaluations, and support to ensure the team is motivated and equipped to achieve their targets.
- Administrative Support: Support additional non-selling and administrative functions as needed. Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- 2+ years experience in direct sales management Required
- 2+ years experience in the Local or State Government industry Preferred
- 2+ years experience managing a team Preferred
- 4+ years business markets sales experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Local Government Procurement Expertise in navigating the procurement processes specific to local government entities. This includes understanding regulations, compliance requirements, and the ability to develop and submit competitive proposals. (Required)
- Strategic Leadership Proven ability to lead and inspire teams towards achieving strategic goals. This involves setting clear objectives, making informed decisions, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. (Required)
- New Customer Acquisitions Demonstrated success in identifying and securing new customers. This includes prospecting, building relationships, and closing deals to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth. (Required)
