This collaborative's innovative approach will bring together medical, research, and community engagement resources to screen, refer, and treat individuals in medically underserved areas.Job SummaryThe coalition lead will manage the development of the iHEART community coalition in all respects with the goal of reducing chronic disease, specifically cardiovascular disease in collaboration with their coalition members.Department-Specific Responsibilities - Teams with the iHEART project team and local community partners in strategic planning.
- Implements action plans.
- Oversees special initiatives.
- Manages recruitment and retention of coalition members.
- Collects and reports coalition effectiveness metrics.
- Strategically coordinates the iHEART efforts with other statewide coalitions .
- Works closely with other coalition leads at the Indiana CTSI, IU Health, Indianapolis Diabetes Impact Project (DIP-IN) and community partners. General Responsibilities
- Oversees and drives the coalition membership growth, retention and engagement. Strategically integrates coalition with other synergistic efforts including other coalitions
- Assists in developing, coordinating and managing coalition initiatives and events both locally and statewide
- Coordinates activities and work between the other coalition coordinators
- Collects, records, analyzes, and reports coalition performance metrics
- Effectively integrates coalition members with resources availableQualificationsCombinations of related education and experience may be considered. - Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Preferred
- Master's Degree in related field. WORK EXPERIENCERequired
- 2 or more years relevant experience in public or community health settings and/or coalition building. SKILLSRequired
