Responsibilities:--- Perform supervisory functions under the guidance of a supervisors/manager.--- Assign daily tasks to other shipping department employees.--- Monitor shipping department employees' progress on assigned tasks.--- Make decisions pertaining to the overriding of scanner errors/product errors.--- Identify and make up orders off a pick sheet.--- Pick and stage outbound shipments.--- Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage.--- Stage a trailer to ensure that shipments are loaded properly and maximum loads areachieved.--- Clear packaging area by securing and loading finished pallets, moving empty pallets.--- Maintain a safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic: following standards andprocedures: complying with legal regulations per all forklift operations.--- Accomplish warehousing and organizational mission by completed related results asneeded.--- Use scanner in the correct manner to properly scan and maintain accurate inventorylevels.--- Complete necessary forklift maintenance and associated reports to ensure maximum forkliftperformance and overall plant safety.--- Participate in monthly inventory process.--- Maintain work area in a clean and sanitary manner.Knowledge and Experience:--- High School Diploma/GED required--- 1-2 years related work experience is preferred.--- Must be able to read, write and speak English.--- Must have basic computer skills.Working Conditions:--- Must be able to work in temperatures of 34 degrees or less.--- Must be flexible and able to work as needed (currently three shifts).--- Must be able to work in a high speed environment.--- Must be able to stand up to 12 hours per day.--- Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.--- Must be able to bend, stoop and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and othermiscellaneous duties.--- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds--- Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week, flexible schedule when necessary.--- Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary.
