About This Role Entry-level Embedded Firmware Engineering professional responsible for embedded firmware engineering processes and activities. Consolidates test results and conducts single disciplinary research, applying hardware and software standards. Role Purpose: - Develop firmware for HVAC and adjacent market embedded controls including microcontroller programming, wireless IOT module firmware development, and
- Actively collaborate with customer on project requirements.
- Create validation test plans for firmware developed. Work with customers to validation firmware on control in customer application.
- Interact with test engineering for creation of factory test fixtures to be used in production. Work with NPI team to release control firmware to production.
- May include electronic hardware design if individual is capable.
Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with key stakeholders including engineering, product, and project management leads to develop firmware requirement specifications and be able to transfer those requirements into a firmware design specification document.
- Capable of working both individually and as part of a diverse team of mechanical, software, and systems engineering competencies in a cohesive effort to deliver new and innovative products.
- Support the firmware development for embedded design solutions and product launch efforts by designing, implementing, and testing embedded firmware.
- Review/Create technical documentation including requirements, traceability matrixes, functional specifications, and qualification test plans.
- Support technology scanning relative to embedded solutions to drive the controls organizational innovation and strategic technology development efforts.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical domain (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Software Engineering).
