Position Title: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE COORDINATOR Position Summary: This position is responsible for accounts payable functions to create appropriate cash disbursements. Reports to: Accounting Manager Accountabilities: Accountable for understanding and following all SOPs and WIs related to job duties while supporting Lean Manufacturing concepts. Ensure that all tasks are adhered to for timely payments to suppliers and other accounting functions are supported as necessary. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures. Duties: Perform all accounts payable processing tasks: Receive invoices, ensuring billing source is valid Verify purchase order receipts Conduct invoice research and resolution as necessary to ensure proper payments Verify invoice data with information from ERP system (Visual Manufacturing) Enter invoices into accounts payable software system for processing (SmartSearch) Ensure proper workflow/approver is set up for each invoice Verify approvals occur timely within the SmartSearch system for appropriate payment to terms Process payment runs to accounting schedule requirements Assist and backup Payroll Coordinator as needed Conduct monthly and year end closing duties as assigned for general accounting needs Job Qualification Requirements: Educational Experience: Associates degree or comparable work experience required. Experience Requirements: Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). High level attention to detail as well as client-focused verbal/written communication and organizational skills. The ability to prioritize to achieve deadlines. Working knowledge of payroll/tax regulatory requirements is highly preferred.
