Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. - Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. - American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- -Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. -Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
Additional Preferences We are a specialized Med Surg unit that sees patients with musculoskeletal issues including broken or fractured bones, arthritis, osteoporosis, joint replacements, and other injuries and diseases. You will also see Laminectomy/Discectomy surgeries, Trauma Injuries, and Podiatry patients. - -You will work as an integral part of the orthopedic and neurosurgical team working alongside the orthopedic surgeon, neurosurgeon, and trauma surgeon; and ensuring that patients on the road to recovery are properly regaining strength and range of motion.We get patients from ER, ICU transfers, elective ortho/neuro surgeries from PACU, and direct admits._____________________ -If you enjoy working in a collaborative & fast paced environment where you can put your critical thinking skills to use, this is the position for you!
