Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Location : Location US-Remote ID 2024-4528 Category Information Technology Type Full Time - Permanent Overview As a Senior Security Engineer, you will assume a multifaceted role, orchestrating our cybersecurity efforts across various domains. You will be responsible for designing new and improving processes, including security architecture, proactive threat hunting, gathering and analyzing threat intelligence, leading incident responses, and enhancing our blue and purple team strategies. Your expertise in internal forensics will be crucial in investigating incidents, while your insights will guide our third-party security and cloud security initiatives. Responsibilities Conduct advanced digital forensics activities including incident response, malware analysis, and root cause analysis to handle security breaches and complex cyber threats. - Develop and implement threat intelligence strategies to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats to the organization.
- Develop and implement complex network security strategies to ensure security across a global footprint of Inotiv sites.
- Design, implement, and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the consistent application of security policies and practices across the organization.
- Lead technical security team training to help build a high-functioning and empowered team.
- Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities within the network and application layers.
- Develop and refine incident response protocols to ensure quick and effective action in the event of a security breach.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into the organization's security strategy.
- Provide expert guidance and leadership to junior security staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications - At least 8 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with extensive experience across the following domains: Network Security, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and Forensics.
- Proven track record of investigating and resolving complex security incidents and threats.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption technologies, and secure network architecture principles.
- Proficient in blue and purple team methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge of internal forensic investigations, third-party security, and cloud security.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in training and mentoring teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
