Registered Nurse (RN) | Direct Observation Unit Location: Urbana, IL Agency: Lancesoft Inc Pay: $2,550 to $2,650 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified DOU RN in Urbana, Illinois, 61801! A healthcare facility in Urbana, Illinois is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Observation/Medical Unit (T6). The RN will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, supporting short-stay and observation patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced Med/Surg observation environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and modify care plans as needed. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation . Monitor and assess IV sites every 4 hours and initiate IV access per policy. Identify changes in patient condition and respond appropriately. Ensure patient and staff safety by addressing hazards and reporting incidents. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate care. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs.
