Waste Connections, a leader in integrated waste services, is seeking a dedicated Class B CDL Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role is essential for helping us provide reliable and environmentally responsible waste management solutions to our residential, commercial, and industrial customers. As a part of our team, you will operate state-of-the-art vehicles and contribute directly to community health and cleanliness. Operate Class B vehicles in accordance with company regulations and federal & state laws. Collect, transport, and deliver waste or recyclables in compliance with predefined routes and schedules. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any discrepancies and ensuring it is maintained in a clean and safe condition. Assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring they are secured properly to prevent damage or accidents. Collaborate with dispatch and customer service teams to improve route efficiencies and resolve any issues on the route promptly. Maintain logs of vehicle movement, customer interactions, and disposal details, conforming to the regulatory and company standards. Adhere to safe working procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines for lifting and moving heavy objects. Strong driving skills and familiarity with local roads and routes. Ability to adhere strictly to scheduling and dependability in timelines. Good physical fitness, capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and walking for extensive periods. Excellent communication abilities for effectively interacting with team members and customers. Problem-solving skills to address and resolve unexpected situations as they arise.
