Experience with cardiac telemetry. Skills in management of dysrhythmias and IV insulin protocols. Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This position requires a commitment to working night shifts. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and providing care for individuals with various conditions. Experience in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips is essential. The ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform phlebotomy is required. The nurse will assist in managing central and peripheral lines and will provide wound care. Daily patient interactions will involve a diverse age group, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. A collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams such as physical therapy and respiratory services will be necessary for optimal patient care. Flexibility regarding weekend shifts and a commitment to patient safety are imperative. Candidates must have the ability to adhere to isolation precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as required. This role involves caring for patients presenting with various diagnoses, including pneumonia, fractures, wounds, and hyper/hypoglycemia. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the use of special equipment such as BiPAP/CPAP and Hoyer lifts.
