Providing skilled clinical nursing care in an operating room setting, this role involves coordinating and delivering patient-centered care consistent with professional nursing standards. Reporting to the Nurse Manager or Director, the nurse will utilize the nursing process to ensure optimal outcomes for surgical patients. Key Responsibilities: Deliver competent care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs. Participate in patient and family education by assessing readiness to learn and utilizing appropriate materials. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate patient progress and revise care plans as needed. Conduct patient assessments, synthesize complex data, and prioritize nursing interventions accordingly. Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to unit goals and performance improvement projects. Maintain a safe, clean, and secure operating room environment. Utilize healthcare policies, standards, and procedures to guide nursing care delivery. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Promote cost-effective care and provide constructive feedback to colleagues. Desired Qualifications: Active RN licensure with Operating Room (OR) experience. Ability to provide care for patients with complex clinical needs in a hospital surgical environment. Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills. Willingness to participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives. Collaborative approach to interdisciplinary teamwork.
