As a CDL Class A Truck Driver, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for timely delivery and excellent service. This position requires driving a tractor-trailer to transport and deliver goods to our customers, including restaurants and chains, while adhering to all safety regulations. Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck to deliver goods to clients. Load and unload cargo, verifying loads against shipping papers. Navigate routes using GPS systems, ensuring the most efficient trip. Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures. Report defects, accidents, or violations. Proven work experience as a truck driver. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.). Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.).
