Description: ABOUT THE ROLE The Accounting Manager, US Indirect Tax, will play a critical role in managing all aspects of indirect accounting matters, including, but not limited to Account Reconciliations, Journal Entries, GL Balances, Internal Controls, US GAAP, and SOX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, indirect tax, and intercompany transactions, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across different functions and regions. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH - Lead and manage account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP requirements
- Maintain SOX controls and documentation
- Analyze mergers and acquisitions to accurately determine opening indirect tax balances
- Support strategic decision-making, all while adhering to accounting standards and regulations
- Ability to work as a member of diverse teams, including members of different functional areas
- Demonstrate strong judgment abilities
- Supervise and mentor the shared service center and US indirect tax employees, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing professional development opportunities
- Prepare and analyze GL account reconciliations for all US entities, including intercompany accounts
- Maintain tax payment templates to ensure proper accounting methods are applied during payment processing
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and addressing any concerns
