They manage marketing to and recruitment of prospective students as well as the admissions process. The Office of College Admissions is a forward-facing department often providing the first impression of UChicago to visitors in-person and virtually as well as telephonically and via email engagement. Of its several schools and departments, The College is the single-largest entity and this office is responsible for bringing to campus a class of students with a diverse set of backgrounds who are prepared to take on rigorous academics while engaging with the University, surrounding neighborhood, and city of Chicago. For more information please visit our website at .Job SummaryAdmissions Staff members are expected to work well both individually, and in teams, to problem-solve, manage projects, and act as a positive representative of the University of Chicago. All Admissions staff members act as a first line of engagement for prospective students and manage general recruitment and application review responsibilities in addition to managing other projects within various teams. The ideal candidate for this position will draw on knowledge of the admissions process to support admissions to UChicago Master's programs. This will include the University's 4+1 dual degree programs and Advanced Scholars, a nationwide early master's admissions program for college juniors.Responsibilities - Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders involved in recruitment for UChicago Master's programs to meet target enrollment goals.
- Travels to recruit applicants, including school visits, attending fairs, and hosting presentations. Territory travel may last 4-6 weeks over the course of a year.
- Participates in virtual and on-campus events for prospective students as well as deliver information sessions and specialized presentations on and off campus.
- Supports application review, including external applications to UChicago Master's programs through the Advanced Scholars program.
- Collaborates with campus partners and ESA staff to create promotional materials for external students interested in UChicago master's programs.
- Oversees recruitment programming such as campus fly-ins and targeted admissions events for UChicago master's programs.
- Supports coordination across various teams in the department, division, and University.
- Uses the Slate software system to ensure students can easily apply to graduate programs across the University and support the gathering and dissemination of real-time admissions data.
- Responds to inquiries via phone and e-mail providing a positive experience for all who interact with department.
- Travels and recruits in an assigned geography, assisting with planning and delivering public presentations, special events, and other recruitment activities.
- Maintains relationships with all individuals involved in the recruitment process, including routinely counseling students and parents regarding the admission process.
- Performs other related work as needed.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.Work Experience: Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.Certifications:---Preferred QualificationsEducation:
