If this describes you, we are looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Highway Project Manager in our Chicago, Illinois office. Lead the planning, management, and execution of highway projects, including roadway studies and design, drainage and utility systems, preliminary and final design, construction document preparation, cost estimating, project scheduling, and the delivery of large, complex highway corridors.What You Will Be Doing: - Plan, manage, and lead transportation projects, ranging from small to medium highways and local roads to complex, multi-disciplinary freeway and interchange projects.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, overseeing scope, schedule, and QA/QC to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Collaborate across disciplines to drive the successful delivery of complex projects.
- Assist in the development of marketing strategies for transportation project opportunities.
- Participate in the RFP/RFQ process, including proposal preparation, interviews, project scoping, fee estimation, and negotiations.
- Act as the client liaison, fostering strong relationships.
- Represent the company at public meetings, conferences, interviews, and industry events.This position presents exciting challenges and opportunities to lead and manage Stanley's projects, contribute to business development in the transportation market, actively participate in professional organizations and technical committees, and promote collaboration and growth within our Chicago office.Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience managing, designing, and delivering Illinois transportation projects.
- Experience as the Project Manager on Illinois DOT projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead teams across disciplines.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience collaborating with clients such as the Illinois Tollway, county departments of transportation, and local government agencies.
- Experience with alternative delivery projects.Base Compensation: $155,000 - $205,000Stanley Consultants is committed to maintaining transparency in our hiring process, including providing information about compensation. The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices.Stanley's Approach to FlexibilityWhile some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!What we offer:
