Description:

Design electrical/electronic products (e.g., protective relays, voltage regulators, excitation systems) for power generation, transmission, distribution, and motor systems. Lead electrical design projects, ensuring compatibility with control, HMI, and mechanical disciplines. Reports to the Electrical Engineering Systems Design Manager.

Requirements:

- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

- 5+ years of electrical/electronic design experience.

- Experience with PLC/HMI programming, power bridges, and three-phase power is a plus.

- Proficient in design/simulation tools and computer skills.

- Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Essential Duties:

- Develop electrical/electronic designs to meet customer specifications.

- Design systems including controllers, power bridges, protection equipment, and HMI.

- Create schematics (1-line, 3-line), wire diagrams, and logic files.

- Coordinate with firmware/software teams for integration.

- Select components, calculate electrical stress, and verify schematics.

- Supervise engineers/technicians and evaluate test data.

- Assist in creating technical documentation and estimating project efforts.
