Development Manager / Fundraising Manager

Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for making an impact? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client's team as a Development Manager at an amazing national nonprofit organization based in the Chicagoland area.

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Fundraising Manager who is passionate about strengthening and growing donor relationships while actively pursuing new funding opportunities. This role is instrumental in expanding our donor base through strategic outreach, meaningful relationship-building, and innovative development initiatives. Success in this position requires disciplined and consistent engagement: executing daily, weekly, and monthly activities designed to drive measurable results and achieve donor acquisition targets.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Building: Establish strong, meaningful relationships with existing and potential donors, effectively communicating the value and benefits of our services.
Donor Growth: Identify, cultivate, and secure donors to support business growth, focusing on individuals, corporations, and organizations.
Strategic Outreach: Develop and execute strategies to connect with prospective donors, including calls, personalized emails, and networking.
Activity Tracking: Maintain a disciplined approach to daily, weekly, and monthly outreach activities, ensuring accountability and transparency.
Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to align efforts and share insights on donor trends and opportunities.
Reporting & Metrics: Track and report progress toward acquisition goals, providing updates on new donor onboarding and engagement.

Qualifications

3 years of proven success in a business development, sales, or donor acquisition role, with a focus on relationships.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage.
Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve measurable results.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with CRM systems and client management tools is a plus.
A passion for delivering value and a genuine desire to contribute to the success of the organization.
