Senior General Accountant - Highland, IL(locals) - fulltime (citizens or Greencard)

A senior role in the Accounting/Finance department, providing analytical support, leading projects, and assisting general accountants. Responsibilities include monthly/annual closings, budgeting, inventory, and potentially payroll, tax, or cost accounting. Reports to the Corporate Controller.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.

- 5+ years of experience.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Oracle experience a plus).

- Willingness to travel as needed.

Essential Duties:

- Lead and manage projects from start to finish.

- Support department needs during technical/capacity challenges.

- Handle monthly/annual financial close processes and statement preparation.

- Perform account analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, and audit schedules.

- Assist in budgeting and ensure accurate general ledger entries.
