<span>Sr. Systems/Operations Engineer<br> <br>Job Description: <br> <br>This is a permanent, full time, direct hire position with an amazing, growing company located in Chicago's near northern suburbs. The role offers a great base salary with terrific benefits and great bonus potential. The Engineer will be responsible for daily operations of the SaaS applications. The Engineer will have a high level of operations discipline and experience to deliver our services on a 24X7 basis to exceed customer service level agreements in our high availability and high performance application hosting environments.<br> <br>• Administer the day-to-day operational tasks for our software suite <br>• Participate in application performance optimization activities <br>• Perform monitoring & control of global production environment <br>• Application expert and escalation point for Helpdesk Associates and clients <br>• Troubleshoot technical issues relating to configuration and data <br>• Work with business teams to provision new client environments <br>• Build and maintain operational reports and documentation <br>• Administer the global application & systems production operations environment <br>• Ensure the readiness of disaster recovery & continuity capability is maintained <br>• Ensure production application data is backed-up <br>• Support application architecture based on standards & requirements <br>• Comply with, and ensure compliance to, established change control and operational procedures <br> <br>Required Experience: <br>• Bachelor’s degree in a technology related area (master’s preferred) with good academic records <br>• MCSA or MCSE certification, ITIL certification preferred <br>• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server/Linux/Unix, F5 Load Balancers, VM ware and computer networking concepts<br>• At least three years of previous experience in a SaaS or web application hosting environment <br>• Some scripting experience (ideally Powershell)<br>• Highly motivated, works well in a fast paced collaborative team environment with business, technical, and user experience team members <br>• Strong oral and written communication skills <br> <br></span> More...
