GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
General labor manufacturing position ensures parts are heat treated through an induction heat treat process.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Set up machinery for operation
Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance
Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions
Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
Comply with all safety and health regulations
Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
Check specs and load/unload parts on heat treat production lines
Complete forms recording production results
Visually verify parts; keep untreated parts separate and identified
Monitor process, and adjusting times and temperatures according to the instructions
Perform daily preventative maintenance, remove and replenish fluids/lubricants
Comply with ISO 16949 & 14001 requirements, safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas - perform 5S cleaning responsibilities
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


Previous manufacturing experience helpful but not required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; able to add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers
Must be able to learn to read and interpret piece part drawings
Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude

• Able to maintain regular and predictable attendance, work overtime and weekends as needed.
  Must have reliable transportation.
  
  
  PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  Work is performed in a manufacturing setting standing and walking on concrete floors throughout an 8 to 12 hour shift with frequent handling of metal parts weighing 1-5 pounds, visual inspection, occasional bending or reaching, use of hand tools, use of up to 50 lbs. of force to move heavy loads on wheels.
