Summary of Position:The Sales Manager will serve as a key member of the Fortune Fish & Gourmet's Western Region Sales Team, a national leading provider of meat, seafood, and gourmet products. The Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding the market share by developing new business and growing the existing customer base. New market growth opportunity. This role manages the sales territory, there is no direct people management responsibility.DescriptionSell D'Artagnan and Fortune Fish and Gourmet product lines, including meat, seafood, and gourmet products to the Food Service Industry primarily in Los Angeles County, California. Manage a selected amount of California accounts outside of LA County shipping via FedEx. Responsible for prospecting for new business and growing existing accounts to exceed sales objectives and profit margin goals.Source and qualify leads through various channels, including cold calling, social media, networking, and referrals.Develop credibility and trusting relationships with customer decision makers (including chefs, purchasers, owners, etc.) and internal colleagues. Proactively communicate and coordinate daily with internal departments (logistics, accounting, purchasing, and customer service).Enter and monitor orders, manage back-orders, troubleshoot, resolve product and delivery issues. Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities for growth.Prepare reports of business transactions and generate expense reports.Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.Based remotely in Los Angeles County RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 3+ years' experience either as: (1) Account Executive selling food products to the hospitality industry, or (2) Chef or FOH/BOH food service professional Prior experience as a Chef highly and/or food industry preferred. Personal Attributes: Self-driven, proactive, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. Exhibit a history of successfully working in a high paced environment. Must be a self-starter and quick study to learn Fortune's products and operations rapidly.Education: Culinary certification and/or degree preferred, but not required.Communications: Have highly developed English communication skills.Technical: High proficiency in using personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite.Travel: Local on-the-road travel required.Local Market:Ideally well-versed in the Los Angeles food scene.Total Compensation PackageBase salary plus annual bonus potential.
