Our client, one of Chicago's most reputable General Contractors, is looking for new Project Managers to oversee delivery of their light industrial construction project pipeline in the North Chicago Suburbs and Downtown. The Project Manager will be responsible for meeting schedule, budget, and quality goals leading to a successful project. Our client specializes in light industrial projects including but not limited to Manufacturing facilities, Distribution Centers and Warehouses. The Project Manager will:
Run the scheduling from project inception to finish
Manage financial aspects including estimating, budgets, and cost reports
Conduct weekly meetings and communicate daily with the Superintendent and construction team
Train and develop the project team
Manage subcontractor schedules and quality of work
Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and actual costs.
Prepare and present estimate documentation, including gaps in available data.
Reviews quotes and estimates with the project management team
Initiates and participates in meet and greet presentations with subcontractors and suppliers.
Comprehends contract requirements for diversity compliance.
The Project Manager will have:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
-5+ years running construction projects from inception to completion
- Experience overseeing ground-up projects
- Working knowledge of construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
- Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
