Key Components: Excellent Communication & Organization Skills & Reporting Skills Responsibilities - Directing, coordinating and communiate the activities of field crews overall and responsible for all operations for the construction of projects, logistics and personnel Drafting, controlling daily/weekly schedule calendar of work crew Truck fleet directing and scheduling Understanding Cost Controls Project forecasting, quantity reporting Ensuring Supply of materials and labor Evaluates projects for change orders Change order reporting, monitoring with strict documentation and timeliness Change order contract negotiation Reviews project documents (plans and specifications) to determine complete scope of work is in sync with work that is being performed Review for additional costs if asked to perform the work to more strict specifications or in a more costly manner Maintains good relationships with clients and subcontractors to insure future workflow Quantity takeoffs Applies vendor or in-house unit rates to determine appropriate bid pricing Review general conditions and assign risk factors per project Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness (this is a key component) Monitoring the costs at the different stages of the projects to ensure it stays within the estimated cost. Working with many departments to make sure that company goals are been met and projects are completed successfully Present at Weekly and Project Collaboration internal meetings Experience, Licensing and Education Degree in civil engineering, architecture, or similar. Qualification in project management is highly advantageous. Demonstrable experience as a construction estimator. Ability to forecast the cost of high-ticket, involved building developments. Knowledge of relevant technical and non-technical documents. Exceptional quantitative skills. Outstanding research and proposal writing skills. Ability to negotiate with seasoned Sales personnel.
