Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a T-7A Mission Systems Hardware Engineer (Level 4) to join the Hardware Engineering team. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization located in St. Louis, Missouri.The T-7 Red Hawk Advanced Pilot Training Program requires a Mission Systems Hardware Engineer to research and develop derivative aircraft concepts for various subsystem updates required for multiple domestic and international campaigns. The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for developing novel approaches to interpret customer requirements and shape trade studies to achieve a common multi-purpose architecture for the T-7 platform. The T-7A Mission Systems will include new development and off-the-shelf hardware being integrated in an advanced laboratory and verified in flight test.The T-7A is an exciting, dynamic program that is dedicated to breaking the norm. Join the team and Let's Go Fly!Position Responsibilities: - Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
- Strategy development for technologies and Independent Research and Development investment
- Develop, document and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements according to customer desires and contract requirements
- Develop statement-of-work and technical performance specifications
- Analyze, translate and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle
- Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
- Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements
- Designs hardware, software and interface specifications
- Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
- Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirementsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience involving: system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification
- 5+ years of experience with Avionics Hardware & Software development, design, production and project management
- 5+ years experience in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issuesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
