Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst (BA) will report directly to the VP, Director of CRM, under the office of the CMO. This role requires a supportive, servant-minded, analytical-minded professional to support a newly created co-chief Commercial Officer (CCO) position designed to propel Hilco Global to the upper echelon of deal-making. The BA will play a key supporting role in serving two (2) co-CCOs with various business development initiatives, championing CCO's objectives across Hilco's 26 operating companies (OPCOs), and leveraging and synthesizing data for action.

Co-CCO Support:

Serve two (2) Co-Chief Commercial Officers (CCO) with various supportive needs to augment deal sourcing, identification, and dissemination across the Hilco Global platform. Support CCOs in their respective verticals, Consumer/Retail and Industrial. Set up, prepared agendas, facilitated discussion, and coordinated task force participants for Consumer/Retail and Industrial-Manufacturing verticals. Back administrative efforts for CCOs, grooming a curated target customer outreach list with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annually outreach cadences, follow-up correspondence, and CRM activity tracking. Contribute to high-value contact outreach, devise strategies to connect with high-value contacts, and post-meeting OPCO follow-up deliverable follow-through. Stay current on business news developments (e.g., WSJ Bankruptcy, Bloomberg, Crains, industry trade groups, etc.) to identify emerging industries of distress. Consolidate news clippings into a company-wide, unified newswire. Gather, synthesize, and communicate with Hilco Global and OPCO senior executives concisely and clearly, and likewise create documentation that distills (yet supports conclusions) in simple terms.

Data Reporting, Analysis, and Insights:

Assemble meaningful, actionable reporting and demonstrate proficiency in B2B data providers, create company organization charts, and cross-reference with CRM contact connections/relationships for CCOs to source and close new incremental upmarket business deals. Champion data research, analysis, and due diligence efforts, including market, financial contact, referral, and company analysis. Systematically track and communicate co-CCO opportunities and speak to opportunities when CCOs as needed on weekly OPCO pipeline calls. Monitor and produce monthly CCO activity reports for Hilco Global founder. Create a company-wide universal pipeline report on all company activity, iterate on existing Troubled Company Report analysis, and create new, ad-hoc reporting as assigned to pursue emerging distressed companies/industries. Mine Hilco Global Advisors' (HGA) past bookings to source organic deal opportunities, relevant contacts, and company data for future inquiries.

OPCO Business Development, Relationship Manager Collaboration:

Facilitate and encourage cross-selling efforts holistically leveraging the Hilco Global platform, where organic opportunities are realized. Collaborate with CCOs to orchestrate and propagate deal opportunities among internal business development and relationship managers on a routine and expedited basis. Actively listen and connect new business and deal opportunities, where sister OPCO adjacencies can maximize deal share and the Hilco Global platform. Advocate for the Marketing division and harvest deal case studies/successes that can be leveraged for content marketing and promotional efforts.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Skills/Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's in marketing, research, analytical, or related field.
    • Previous experience in the Financial Services or consulting industry in consumer banking, investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, turnaround/restructuring, or similar. Retail and industrial sectors are highly preferred.
    • Demonstrated research ability a plus.
    • Familiarity with syndicated data partners PitchBook, Capital IQ, Credit Cloud, Bloomberg terminal, ZoomInfo, etc., is a plus.
    • Experience in CRM platforms (SugarCRM preferred), such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft, etc.
    • Ability to quickly pick up new data languages, emerging tools, and technology technologies.
    • Proficiency in PowerBI, SQL, MySQL, is a plus, and related programming languages are a plus.
    • Proficient with data synthesizing and translating complex problems into actionable insights.
    • Ability to maintain high confidentiality of personally identifiable information.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
