Position Summary This is position is a non-tenure track, Clinical Faculty position with the rank of Assistant Professor. It is part-time, .125 FTE /5 hrs. per week. These physician faculty will teach medical students in the WWAMI Medical Education Program. Lead a group of 5-6 students in a weekly hospital clinical tutorial experience: Oversee two students each week performing history and physical exam on a hospitalized patient. (Faculty and students have no clinical responsibility for patients) Modeling of hospital rounds with student led bedside presentations to the full group Provide feedback on written H&P’s Establish a mentoring relationship with each student which continues over the 4 years of medical school Frequency in the Spring Semester decreases to bi-weekly Other responsibilities may include: Involvement in teaching of students 2 week “Clinical Immersion” experience Faculty Development Staff Meetings Student Interest Group Advising Assisting with student orientation Other duties and tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications A terminal degree (M.D., D.O., or equivalent) Board certified or Board eligible Active clinical practice in the area, or ability to obtain by time of hire.
