Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Registered Nurse with specialized experience in the Operating Room is sought for a contract opportunity in Huntersville, NC. This role centers around providing high-quality perioperative care in a medium-sized healthcare setting focused on diverse adult and some pediatric ENT cases. Candidates should expect a dynamic work environment with a close-knit surgical team, working with a variety of surgical specialties including general, gynecology, orthopedic, and urological procedures. Key Responsibilities: Provide circulating and scrubbing support during surgeries, with a preference for RN proficiency in both roles. Independently manage call-back situations, serving as the sole RN on-call. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical tech team to ensure patient safety and surgical efficiency. Utilize EPIC EMR technology for documentation and patient care coordination. Participate in weekend and holiday on-call rotations as scheduled, adhering to a 30-minute callback window. Attend orientation shifts and ongoing department meetings as required. Desired Qualifications: Minimum three years of acute Operating Room experience. Valid RN license and current BLS certification required. Experience with patient populations including adults and pediatrics, involving general, GYN, ortho, and urology surgeries. Ability to work autonomously during call-back duties. Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred. Comfort with robotics (Medtronic Hugo) is a plus but not mandatory. Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 0630-1700, with rotating days off weekly. One weeknight on-call per week from 1830-0630. Every fifth weekend call, spanning Saturday morning until Monday morning. Approximately 50% holiday call participation expected. Additional Information: Free parking provided. Facility does not require floating. Scrub uniforms provided with extended sizing options. Support provided by day charge RN, department leadership, and hospital administration, with 24/7 anesthesia, respiratory therapy, and hospitalist coverage.
