ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Boise, Idaho. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM • Rarely work overnight shifts unless night call team is unavailable • Schedule based on department needs with no block scheduling • Minimum of 2 years OR experience required with preference for 1-2 travel assignments • Broad experience in all surgical cases preferred • Required certification: BLS • BSN not required • Must respond to call within 30 minutes • Call requirements include 4 hours following scheduled shifts • Weekend call: 12-hour in-house day shift once per month (volunteers first) • Holiday call: 12-hour in-house day shift once per month (volunteers first) • Night call coverage may be required 1-2 times per contract (up to 12 hours) • Floating rarely required but may float to nearby surgery centers or possibly Meridian/Nampa OR • CVOR experience with robotic thoracic may require floating if needed • Scrubbing not required for RNs • Hospital provides grey scrubs • Work with OR techs and charge nurse available 24/7 • Use EPIC electronic medical record system • Handle diverse cases including pediatric and adult surgeries across multiple specialties • Work in 17-suite OR with average of 65 cases per day • One week orientation including general and unit-specific training • Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility Facility: This major medical center features a comprehensive 17-suite operating room department that handles approximately 65 surgical cases daily. The facility specializes in a wide range of procedures including pediatric and adult surgeries across multiple specialties such as general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, oncology, ENT, gynecology, and bariatrics. The hospital maintains an attached oncology center and utilizes advanced technology including DaVinci robotic systems. The surgical services department operates with a full support team including OR technicians and 24/7 charge nurse coverage.
