Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Surgery Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an operating room circulator role License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: 1 year of circulator experience in the intraoperative setting Experience with specialties including retina surgery, total hip/knees, hand surgery, breast oncology, breast reconstruction, ENT, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, and podiatry Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems Ability to handle patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics Description: The registered nurse will work in the outpatient surgery unit. The shift schedule consists of working five days one week and four days the next week. The expected total is 72 hours over two weeks. There is one day off every other week. Nurses will be responsible for operating room circulation. They must stay for additional duties when there are outstanding cases referred to as "dots" and "double dots". Travelers must adhere to a holiday policy, working specific holidays as outlined. Compliance with credentialing requirements is essential for an on-time start.
