Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Macon, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,894 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years Med/Tele RN experience License: RN License (Associate's degree at a minimum) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required, Basic Cardiac Rhythm test completed during onboarding Must-Have: - Strong clinical assessment and time management skills - IV insertion and maintenance skills - Cardiac monitoring and interpretation - Care coordination with interdisciplinary team - Discharge planning knowledge and patient education Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the MedSurg/Tele unit. This role involves caring for patients with various conditions, including chest pain, syncope, abdominal pain, COPD exacerbation, heart failure observation, dehydration, and diabetes. Patient ratios are typically 1:4-6. The RN will be responsible for trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and the administration of insulin and heparin drips. Ensure proper patient education and coordination of care with the interdisciplinary team. You will have support from CNAs, unit secretaries, and resource nurses. The position requires availability to work weekends and holidays, with a schedule cycle of every 6 weeks. Teamwork is essential in this busy environment, as you will assist with admitting patients from the emergency department who are awaiting inpatient admission beds.
